At Cookin' Outdoors, we believe the heart of the home doesn’t stop at the back door, it extends into the outdoor living space. This custom outdoor kitchen project in Tampa is a perfect example of how thoughtful design, premium materials, and expert craftsmanship come together to create a space that’s as functional as it is beautiful.

This project began with a full demo and removal of an outdated outdoor kitchen. From there, we rebuilt the space from the ground up with durability, performance, and entertaining in mind.

A Solid Foundation: Custom Concrete Cabinetry & Stone Finish

We constructed 13.4 linear feet of concrete cabinetry directly on a concrete slab to ensure long-term strength and stability. The cabinetry was then wrapped in stone carefully selected to match the home’s existing fireplace, creating a cohesive, high-end look across the entire patio.

The countertops and backsplash feature Quartzite, offering both elegance and resilience against Florida’s outdoor elements.

The Entertaining Feature: 7’4” Quartzite Bar Overhang

One of the standout features of this outdoor kitchen is the 7 foot 4 inch quarzite bar overhang. This extended seating area transforms the kitchen into a social hub. Perfect for guests to gather, relax, and interact with the cook without crowding the workspace.

It’s not just a kitchen with cookin appliances. It’s a hosting experience.

Premium Cooking Power

At the center of the kitchen is the Fire Magic Aurora A790i Built-In Natural Gas Grill, a top-tier 36” built-in grill known for performance and reliability. Beneath it, a 40” double access door provides convenient storage for tools and accessories.

Complementing the grill is the Fire Magic Aurora Built-In Natural Gas Double Side Burner, ideal for preparing sides, sauces, and more without ever needing to step back inside.

Professional Ventilation for a Covered Patio

Because this kitchen sits under a covered patio, proper ventilation was essential. We installed a Proline Range Hoods outdoor-rated, wall-mounted range hood, ducted through the roof for maximum performance. The back wall was finished with matching quarzite to create a clean, polished cooking zone.

Convenience Meets Luxury

This kitchen was designed for effortless hosting:

• Owner-provided sink and faucet with single access storage door
• TrueFlame 24” deluxe outdoor-rated 2-drawer refrigerator for drinks and food storage
• Double access drawer beneath the side burner for added functionality

Every component has a purpose, and every detail supports ease of use.

Seamless Utility Connections

To keep the installation clean and efficient, we tied directly into the home’s existing:

• Electrical for grill, burner, fridge, and a convenience outlet on the kitchen face
• Plumbing for water supply and drainage
• Natural gas line already run to the outdoor kitchen area

This allowed for a streamlined build.
