At Cookin' Outdoors Tampa, Outdoor Living means designing spaces that are engineered, intentional, and built to last in Florida’s climate. This project is a perfect example—a custom SIP A-Frame structure built into an existing screen enclosure, paired with a fully loaded concrete outdoor kitchen and a 10’ x 9’ concrete block feature wall that transforms the enclosure into a true extension of the home.

This was not a prefab setup. Every component was planned, permitted, and constructed for long-term performance, beauty, and everyday use.

18 Linear Feet of Custom Concrete Outdoor Kitchen

The outdoor kitchen spans 18 linear feet of concrete cabinetry, constructed directly on a concrete slab for maximum durability and stability.

Construction & Finishes:

• Concrete cabinetry with stone veneer on the front and sides
• Stucco finish on the rear screen wall
• Granite Level I/II countertops and full-height backsplash

This kitchen was designed for serious cooking, entertaining, and seamless flow within the enclosure.

Every appliance we use at Cookin' Outdoors was carefully selected for outdoor-rated performance and functionality:

• ZLINE 48” Outdoor Wall-Mount Range Hood
  Stainless steel hood, vented directly through the feature wall, with Granite Level I/II extending from the hood to the backsplash
• Blaze 32” LTE 4-Burner Gas Grill
  Includes rear burner and built-in lighting system, with a double access door beneath the grill
• Blaze Double Side Burner with Lights
  Installed with a double access drawer below for storage
• Blaze 20” Outdoor-Rated Compact Refrigerator
  4.1 cubic feet of cold storage, seamlessly built into the cabinetry
• Stainless Steel Undermount Bar Sink & Faucet
  Paired with a single access door for plumbing access

• Custom Open Shelving - (2) 3.5’ x 1’ concrete open shelves
  Finished with stone veneer on the sides and Granite Level I/II top.

Together, the custom open concrete shelves and the full suite of premium outdoor appliances—grill, side burner, refrigerator, range hood, sink, and integrated storage—create a kitchen that is both highly functional and visually cohesive, seamlessly tying the cabinetry, feature wall, and architectural finishes into one polished outdoor living space.

Custom Concrete Block Feature Wall

Anchoring the kitchen and A-Frame is a 10’ x 9’ concrete block feature wall, built on a continuous footer for structural integrity. This wall serves both architectural and functional purposes.

Feature Wall Details:

• (2) 3’ x 16" horizontal windows for natural light and visual openness
• Stone veneer on the front-facing side
• Stucco finish on the rear

The feature wall provides a dramatic backdrop, supports the hood ventilation, and defines the space. 

SIP A-Frame Integrated Into Screen Enclosure

The defining architectural element of this project is the Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) A-Frame, designed and built directly into the screen enclosure. Cookin' Outdoors SIP construction offers superior insulation, strength, and clean architectural lines—ideal for Florida heat and weather conditions.

By integrating the A-Frame within the enclosure, we achieved:

• A dramatic vaulted ceiling that visually expands the space
• Improved thermal performance and airflow
• A bold architectural focal point that elevates the entire outdoor room

This structure turns a screened patio into a true luxury outdoor living environment.
